Grilled Romaine with Balsamic Vinaigrette

Yield:

Ingredients:

  • 2 - 3 romaine lettuce hearts

Balsamic Vinaigrette

  • 1/4 cup balsamic vinegar
  • 1/4 cup extra-virgin olive oil
  • 2 Tbsp. fresh lemon juice
  • 1 tsp. sugar
  • 1 clove garlic, finely minced
  • 1/2 tsp salt

Directions:

  1. Wash and dry lettuce.
  2. Slice in half lengthwise.
  3. Drizzle with vinaigrette and freshly ground black pepper.
  4. Grill about 3 minutes on each side until nicely charred.
  5. Sprinkle iwth grated Parmigiano-Reggiano while still warm.
